This is my first project completed in any Architectural Studio, and served as a method to learn about the design process, iteration, and interaction. The project was done in collaboration with Thomas Chen. Each box serves as a prosthetic, augmenting the user's sight and perspective. Two people put on the cardboard helmets, each equipped with an interior headband and a phone strap. Inside, a pair of phones are connected to each other through FaceTime. The cameras were set to look out through small holes in the front, letting each person see themselves through another's eyes in real time.
The disorienting experience allowed users to understand how others see them move through a space and interact with the environment, and forced specific and intentional communication in order for the pair to accomplish even simple tasks.
